Mike and Ellen Bittner, Founders

The founders of Hyperbaric Centers of California, Inc., Mike and Ellen developed their interest in hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) while searching for treatment options for their children, Sam and Deanna. After several years of trying countless therapies, HBOT provided dynamic benefits for both children. Because they had to travel to find HBOT treatment, Mike and Ellen wanted to bring this successful therapy to the children and adults in and around Ventura County.

Dr. Karima Hirani, Medical Director

Dr. Hirani has been practicing medicine since 1993. She received her MD from USC Medical School and is Board Certified in Family Practice. She completed her Family Practice Residency from Long Beach Memorial Hospital in Long Beach, California. She also has a Master's degree in Nutrition from the UCLA School of Public Health. Since graduation, Dr. Hirani has been in group and private practice in a diversity of settings ranging from group practice in Santa Monica to the Venice Family Clinic (a community clinic serving the medically indigent). In addition she was a staff physician with Dr. Julian Whitaker at the Whitaker Wellness Institute, and in private practice with Dr. Cynthia Watson. She is also a teaching faculty member at USC Medical School.

Molly Lawrence, CHT, EMT, ADMT

Molly is a Certified Hyperbaric Technician (CHT), Advanced Diving Medical Technician (ADMT), and an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). She initially explored hyperbaric medicine while studying at National Polytechnic College of Engineering and Oceaneering where she received her training in hyperbaric medicine, as well as an EMT and ADMT certificate. Molly earned training hours and a National Board Certification at The UCLA Gonda Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine.
